Temptation/Test

Do you believe that God would allow Satan to tempt or test you?

In the name of Jesus; may you enjoy God’s truth.

(What does it mean that the Bible is divinely inspired?),

Job 1:6–11(KJV) “6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Paraphrase: Satan is God’s son whom God allowed to show his power of evil within the earth. During a time before the death and the resurrection of Jesus, Satan was also given our Heavenly Father's authority to test Job’s faith. and respect for God. Job did not waver from his loving admiration for God.

1 John 1:6 (KJV), “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.”

Paraphrase: Right, wrong, or indifferent, Satan is one of God’s sons as is the devil.

Matthew 4:1–11(KJV), “4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

Paraphrase: Jesus was enticed with distractions and desires of the flesh by the devil to keep Jesus from fulfilling His mission. Jesus did not give into Satan’s temptations.

note: Jesus, Satan, and the Devil are all sons of our omnipotent God. It was in the desert that the devil used every worldly temptation to overpower Jesus. Not only did the devil fall, but it was Jesus’ agape love for us that overpowered the devil in the desert and later in Jesus’ tomb where He visited hell and chained the devil there.

Acts 26:18 (KJV), “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

Paraphrase: You must become aware of your free will, turn your attention from Satan’s tricks and focus on Jesus’ positive enforcement, forfeit Satan’s selfishness for Jesus’ gifts of righteousness, so that you may be forgiven of your past acts against God’s commandments and statutes, and choose to become a royal heir in His Kingdom on earth.

Matthew 9:12–13 (KJV), “12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Paraphrase: There’s no need to correct what does not need to be corrected. Translate this to mean. Jesus will have compassion, instead of atonement: because He doesn’t have to save the ones who have chosen salvation: He has to reach unsaved souls.

James 1:13–16 (KJV), “13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Paraphrase: “Do not blame God when you do wrong, and say God enticed you: because God is not inclined to wrong, and He does not coax people to go against His commandments: Every impulsive person is tempted due to his/her free will of chosen desires, Upon giving into such inclinations, sin is born, and the flesh is fed, unrighteousness is not of God, upon self-completion of selfish worldly unrighteousness, your soul dies. Be aware of your choice to misbehave, my fellow Christians.

Deuteronomy 30:19–20 (KJV), “17 But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,

18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Paraphrase: Should you reject God’s word and disregard His voice, as well as leave Him, and honor different entities and glorify them, God vocalizes to you that you will definitely vanish, then you will not be allowed to continue to have time to accomplish your victory within His dominion. God baptized His authority among the galaxies, acknowledging His power to let you live or die, rejoice and sorrow: you can choose to live, allowing you and your lineage the riches of God:

Give yourself permission to embrace God our Lord, and permission to adhere to His voice, also give yourself permission to commit to Him: God is your life, and the growth of your age: allowing you to live on the firmament that He promised your ancestors, throughout your lineage, to possess.

1 Peter 2:25 (KJV), 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

Paraphrase: Y’all previously chose to follow the devil: yet you have recently come back home to Jesus and Jehovah’s leadership of your hearts.

The above scriptures prove that God does not allow Satan to tempt or test you. It’s your choice due to the premise of free will, to decide to honor Satan or to respect God. You must accept your responsibility of accountability for your own prosperity or demise. Upon accepting Jesus as your Savior you are allowed to plead the blood of Jesus over your every potential action and word, and His Spirit [(the Holy Spirit)your inner voice] will guide you to God’s righteousness just by your saying Jesus’ name.
