Trust

Should you Trust in God or People?

In the name of Jesus; may God be blessed as we trust in Him.

Trust is a“firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.”(Oxford),

Trust is “ Confidence; a reliance or resting of the mind on the integrity, veracity, justice, friendship or other sound principle of another person.(KJV),

People who trust themselves have proven that they cannot be trusted by God or man because they are self-centered and they normally make immorally selfish choices. Therefore they are incapable of building relationships based on the integrity of trust. God is perfect and He makes rules and commandments that teach us to have morals and standards regarding enforcing trust because we are created for a relationship of trust with Him. As we choose to love our creator God and one another, we too must be trustable. However, due to various issues such as children’s innocence being taken away as they are taught to be deceitful by their authoritarians, are pressured into condoning negative peer pressure, choose to be a member of deceitful cliques by becoming deceitful culprits, and develop untrustworthy behaviors, and eventually, some will become dishonest adults and the derivation is that this behavior can become a family tradition; unless each individual makes a decision to discontinue distrustful family curses and follow Jesus’ regiment. God is our creator and, as our Heavenly Father, He is our truth, with whom we can build our trust with. He will never lie to us, deceive us, or guide us in the wrong direction. We can trust Him and give all issues due to others' deceitfulness to God, as we relax in faith that God will work things out based on our relationship of trust in Him. It is an unsafe practice to trust a human being instead of putting one’s trust in God, as the false sense of trust in humans will create many unforeseen problems that come before a mighty fall. On the other end of the spectrum, we can always trust God as we choose to submit ourselves to Him, follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance in accordance with trusting in His word, and behave as He appropriately teaches us to walk with Him, as the finale consists of us witnessing Him prevail and create a winner out of His children who trust in Him instead of people.

Galatians 5:24–26(KJV), “24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

  • Holy Spirit: 24. Everyone who has chosen Jesus as their savior has dissipated their desire for carnalities. 25. Those souls who speak righteously need to actively have a showmanship of righteousness. 26. We mustn’t boast of self-glorification, for such will induce jealousy and wicked intentions from evil spirits occupying other souls.

Matthew 6:7–8(KJV) “7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

  • Holy Spirit: 7. As you petition God, do not be repetitive: like the nonbelievers: because pagans believe that He will listen to their long speeches. 8, So don’t copy their skepticism: ABBA Father is aware of your every required necessity, prior to you petitioning Him.
